Spirometry

Spirometry is a common functional test used to assess how well your lungs work by measuring how much air you inhale, how much you exhale and how quickly you exhale. User can check the lung capacity by observing the spirometry graph produced by the simulated activity as per the virtual patient condition.

Condition Simulated

     FEV1: >80% predicted; FVC: >80% predicted; FEV1/FVC ratio: >70% (Normal)

     Abnormal :

Obstruction: FEV1: <80% predicted; FVC: Normal or low; FEV1/FVC ratio: <70%

     Restriction: FEV1: <Normal or low; FVC: <80% predicted; FEV1/FVC ratio: >70%

Procedure

The system will display patient test ready state to run the spirometry test.

Hit “Run Test”, system will display the respective graph produced.

Click on the ‘Reset’ button to close the result.
