Blood Pressure

Blood pressure is a measurement of the force on the walls of your arteries as your heart pumps blood through your body. This simulation will help the student to measure blood pressure with a sphygmomanometer. BP in recumbent and standing posture (systolic/diastolic) is taken using this virtual activity.

Procedure

     Click on the  inflation bulb of the  blood pressure meter to increase the pressure. (The system will increase the reading in the instrument scale while user applying pressure in the bulb.)

     User can reduce the pressure in the bulb by ‘Press and Hold’  the air valve knob near the bulb.(System will reduce the reading in the instrument scale while releasing the release knob).

     The system will produce a sound based on systolic and diastolic pressure of the patient. Note down this scale.
