Auscultation - Egophony

Egophony is an increased resonance of the voice sounds heard when auscultating the lungs. It indicates that there is consolidation of the lung or possible collapse of the lung. User can listen to the audio response played as per the virtual patient condition on clicking each spot through the simulated virtual activity.

Procedure

     The system will display a patient’s posterior, right, left and anterior view of the chest portion with red spots.

     User can select the desired view.

     Click on the red spots as per the arrow direction shown.

     Listen the auscultation  sounds as Egophony normal “e” or Egophony abnormal “e”.
